Welcome to my Blog
Hello,This is a first for me having a blog. I like the idea of having a way to tell you about who I am as a photographer and what I hope our relationship will be. My decision to become a full time professional photographer came out of my love of the art of photography and what it means to us all as a society. I am a nostalgic and value all things that reflect our history and our connections as family and people. I have always loved old churches, buildings, and other historical sites. I like to think of the people who built, worked in, worshiped in, raised kids in those places and how much like us they all were. While photography is really a relatively recent invention, it is a shortcut to getting a feeling for and understanding those who came before and laid the foundation for all we are and have now. I told you I was a nostalgic. There are really two things I hope to give through my art and those are, one, a tangible and lasting representation of the love and connection we share during our brief time here with each other as families, friends, and fellow citizens. And, two, images that remind people to stop and savor the many miracles we are gifted with in this life whether that is noticing how a drop of rain on a leaf is a perfect sphere, how the trees are reflected on the water and the changes in shape the wind on the surface creates, the feeling of sheer power we get when we look at a mountain range at sunrise or crashing waves at sunset, and most important, the smiling faces of those we hold most dear and the feelings of security knowing we have family. This all may sound hokey but it is my passion to be a tiny part in preserving all that is wonderful in and around us. I thank all of my clients, past, present, and future for the opportunity to share something precious and to create something lasting for you.Until next blog and with much love,Sandra
